Telltale Games has revealed a trailer and launch date for their upcoming Batman themed series. For those who haven’t herd much about this upcoming series, Batman: The Telltale Series is an upcoming episodic point-and-click graphic adventure video game developed and published byTelltale Games and distributed by Warner Bros. Players will take the role of Batman as both the superhero and as Bruce Wayne. According to Telltale Games’ CEO Kevin Bruner, the split between these is about even in the series, though at times the game will offer the player of whether to approach a situation as Wayne or as Batman. The game will offer a “fresh interpretation of the universe set in current times, and will not be tied to any existing iteration of Batman in games, film, or comics”, according to Telltale Games. The game will feature a similar branching narrative as other past Telltale games, giving the player options for how to approach a situation and having that choice affect later events in the game

Although not much of the story-line has been revealed just yet, but thanks to the new trailer premiering today, we have a glimpse of what to expect with Episode 1, here’s a statement made by the company:

Enter the fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne and discover the powerful and far-reaching consequences of your choices as the Dark Knight. In this gritty and violent new story from the award-winning creators of The Walking Dead – A Telltale Games Series, you’ll make discoveries that will shatter Bruce Wayne’s world, and the already fragile stability of a corrupt Gotham City.

The Batman series will be arriving on August 2nd, 2016 for all platforms. As for the cast: Bruce Wayne (played by Troy Baker), Vicki Vale (Erin Yvette), Alfred (Enn Reitel), Lt Gordon (Murphey Guyer), Carmine Falcone/The Roman (Richaed McGonagle), and Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Laura Bailey). As for pricing, individual episodes will retail for $5 but there will also be a Season Pass available for purchase as well. In total there will be five episodes in this series.

I only enjoy episodic games when I have the complete episodes at my disposal… So much waiting for new releases will make you even forget the previous storyline..
