Earlier on Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment confirmed Injustice 2, the sequel to the much praised Injustice: Gods Among Us. Injustice 2, according to Warner Bros. Interactive, will feature the “biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game.” Now we are talking about a “massive roster” of DC Super Heros and Super-Villians, and will also enable players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters.
In Injustice 2, we are introducing new features that will change the way fans play fighting games – Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios.
Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us where Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. The playable roster for Injustice 2 will include both new and returning heroes and villains. Certain playable characters will sport “premier skins”, which transform them into other DC Comics characters with unique voices and dialogue The game will also feature additional characters available as downloadable content.
Some of the players includes; Aquaman, Atrocitus, Bane, Batman, Brainiac, Blue Beetle, Darkseid, Deadshot, Flash, Green Lantern (John Stewart), Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Power Girl, Reverse-Flash, Robin, Supergirl, Superman and Wonder Woman.
Injustice 2 will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16, 2017.
Injustice is a fighting video game based upon the fictional universe of DC Comics, in the game, players control characters with different fighting styles and special attacks, engaging in one-on-one combat to deplete their opponent’s life gauge. The game was developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It was released in April 2013 in North America, Europe, and Australia, and June 2013 in Japan. An expanded version of the game, titled Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, was released in November 2013 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows. A sequel to the game Injustice 2, will be released May 16, 2017.
